Our Congregational Care Ministry provides compassionate support through hospital and homebound visitation, prayer, and pastoral care during times of illness, recovery, grief, or other life transitions.
Whether you or a loved one is in the hospital, recovering at home, or simply in need of prayer and encouragement, our clergy and trained, commissioned Lay Chaplains are here to walk alongside you with Christ's love and care.

Community of Hope equips compassionate lay volunteers to provide Christ-centered care, encouragement, and hope to people during life's most challenging seasons. Through specialized training, Community of Hope Chaplains learn to serve alongside our clergy by visiting those who are hospitalized, homebound, or in nursing homes; offering prayer and encouragement; providing a listening ear; supporting grieving families; and extending Christ's love through caring relationships.
At St. James, we believe caring for one another is a shared calling. Community of Hope is one way our congregation lives out that calling by equipping servant leaders to walk alongside others with compassion and hope.
If you're interested in learning more about becoming a Community of Hope Chaplain, stop by the Care Station during You Are Here to visit with a ministry leader. Training opportunities are offered periodically throughout the year.

Our Grief Support Group offers a welcoming, compassionate space where those who are grieving can find encouragement, understanding, and hope alongside others who are navigating a similar journey.
