What is The Story?

The Story is an abridged, chronological Bible that reads like a novel. There are no verse references, and Scripture segments are seamlessly woven together with transition text into a single grand narrative. For those intimidated or overwhelmed by the unabridged Bible, The Story helps understand God’s Word more fully and engage with it more easily.

Sunday, August 18

We will be handing out The Story Bibles with five different age level books during worship services and Sunday School classes.

Join a Small Group – Beginning August 25

Beginning August 25, St. James will begin a 31-week exploration of The Story. You have the opportunity to make the scriptures become more personal by joining a small group.  These hour long sessions will provide 10 minutes of video teachings on the week’s readings. In addition there will be group discussion to help each of us discover how God’s story intersects and guides our story.
