We would be thrilled to have you join St. James! You can let us know your intentions several different ways. You can stop by our Welcome Center any Sunday (Entrance 1) and let us know, or you can simply find one of the pastors before any worship service and let them know you’d like to become a member. You can also contact the church office and speak to Teresa Bodie at 501-217-6711 or [email protected].
To learn more about St. James follow these steps:
Step 1: Coffee with the Pastor
Coffee with the Pastor is a casual group gathering with Rev. Ben Crismon, Senior Pastor at St. James. During Coffee with the Pastor, he will share his spiritual journey and invite you to examine your own. You will learn more about St. James structure and vision and discover how to be a part of the community and mission of the church. Coffee with the Pastor is offered throughout the year. Contact Teresa Bodie at 501-217-6711 or [email protected] for more information.

Step 2: Joining Service
Immediately following Coffee with the Pastor, those who are ready to join St. James in membership are invited to do so. You may be transferring from another United Methodist church, coming from another denomination, or be joining a church for the first time.
What if you are not ready to join? Membership is merely an option. Continue to visit as long as you wish.
Step 3: Starting Point
After you join the church, we encourage you to attend Starting Point, a three-week class designed to jump start your spiritual journey, transforming your heart, your relationships, and our city. It will feature teaching by Rev. Vaughan, opportunities for reflection and discussion, and practical ways to plug into the various ministries of St. James. This class is led by church members and will be offered several times throughout the year on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. For more information, please contact Teresa Bodie.
Step 4: Get Connected
We encourage you to be faithful in your Sunday worship participation and to find at least one additional way to engage with
St. James. Participation in a small group or service opportunity is a great way to begin.
If you have questions about becoming a member of St. James, please contact Teresa Bodie, Executive Assistant at [email protected] or 501-217-6711.
