Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism expresses God’s love and grace, which is free to all. In the baptism service, St. James vows to embrace your children and be with them in their faith walk. Parents are required to attend a one-hour meeting with a pastor prior to their child’s baptism. Once a baptism date has been confirmed, a pastor will contact you to schedule a meeting.

Memorial Services & Funerals
In the company of believers and through the strength of worship, family and friends can find the renewal of Christian faith, hope and love that will sustain them in their time of grief. The focus of memorial services and funerals at St. James is to provide an uplifting celebration of God’s power over death through scripture readings, prayer and music.
The Columbarium Garden provides a quiet and beautiful place to remember those who have gone before us.
Located outside of Cottey Parlor and adjacent to the Prayer Garden, the Columbarium is accessible to those who wish to visit at any time, even if the church is not open. Those eligible for interment include members of St. James, their spouses, members of their immediate families, United Methodist clergy and their immediate families.
Note: Times for services should not be set prior to confirmation of the availability of the church facilities and the assignment of a minister.
