This youth choir sings in worship on a regular basis. This year we will be seeking opportunities for the youth choir to perform at various community venues. Participation in this choir provides the opportunity for new dimensions in Christian growth through learning Scripture, building relationships with other young believers, and witnessing to the love of Christ through music sung as worship leaders. Please contact Kyle Blackburn at kyle.blackburn@stjameslr.org or 501-217-6736. Youth worship team

Our 8:30 and 10:55 a.m. traditional, and our 10:55 a.m. contemporary services all provide opportunities for our acolytes to serve. Training will take place in the sanctuary TBD, For more information, please contact Lesley Cooper at lesleyc1@me.com or 501-539-1182.
altar guild
Members of the Altar Guild help prepare the worship space in both the traditional and contemporary services and for special worship services, including decorating the Sanctuary and Worship Center for Advent, Easter and other celebrations.
Contact Ann Rowell at 501-580-9551 or Kathleen Joiner at 501-258-8235 for more information. |
communion servers & stewards
St. James offers communion during the worship services on the first weekend of every month, while our 8:30 a.m. traditional service offers communion every week. Servers assist our pastors during the communion celebration on a rotational basis. Stewards assist in setting & cleaning up communion following both the 8:30 a.m. & the 10:55 a.m. worship service on a rotational basis. Training will be provided at a date and time to be determined.
ushers
In all our worship services, ushers play an important role as they are often the first person our guests and members encounter as they enter the church. Joining an usher team is a great entry point for new members to serve, as it provides a wonderful way to meet more people in the church.
Contact Jan Fairman at 501-217-6752 or jan@stjameslr.org for more information. |
